Puppy Classes

Leith Vets & Julie Morrison’s Puppy Classes

We are super excited to announce that our popular puppy classes will be up and running again on Wednesday evenings from 12th November 2025.

We are very happy to be working with Julie Morrison from Paws for Thought Dog Training.

Julie is a qualified dog trainer and she has worked for the Dog's Trust for 20 years. She is a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK (APDT UK) member no 01301 and she is also a registered animal training instructor of the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC). • What is covered in the classes?

Our classes offer much more than traditional ‘puppy parties’. Julie will cover basic training such as ‘sit’ and ‘stay’. She will mainly be focusing on socialisation which is very important in the first few months of a puppy’s life. Julie will also provide information on reading puppy body language cues and she can answer any questions you may have.

One of the most important aspects of our Leith Vets Puppy Academy is that by the end of the block of classes, puppies just love coming to the vet!

Previous participants have also built lovely local connections in the community and canine pals for life.

  • Who can attend?

2 humans can attend with each puppy. This could include 2 adults, or 1 adult and 1 child.

  • What do you need to bring?

Please bring some yummy treats and don’t feed your puppy a big meal just before the the class so they are hungry for treats.

  • What do you receive?

All puppies and owners will receive a rosette and a certificate.
