RVN Vacancy at Leith Vets

We’re looking for an RVN who loves general practice to join our friendly, supportive team at Leith Vets in Edinburgh.

We’re a proudly independent practice, now in our third year, and we’ve become a well established and much loved part of the local community. We genuinely enjoy working together, supporting one another and providing excellent patient care, while maintaining a welcoming and personal approach to our clients and patients.

You’ll be joining a team of 4 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 veterinary care assistant and 4 client care assistants. We’re happy to wait for the right person and are looking for someone who shares our values and will enjoy being part of our team.

About the role

We welcome RVNs of all experience levels. If you’re passionate about general practice, enjoy building relationships with clients and want to work in a supportive environment where your skills are valued, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re an ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Practice, with almost 50% of our patients being cats. We have a particular interest in feline medicine and low stress cat handling.

Dentistry also makes up a significant part of our caseload and we pride ourselves on providing dentistry to a high standard. Our RVNs perform many of our COHATs and dental radiographs, giving you the opportunity to develop and use your clinical skills.

Our clients really value the relationships they build with our RVNs, so if you enjoy consulting and getting to know your patients and their owners, you’ll fit in particularly well.

There may also be an opportunity for the right candidate to progress into a Head RVN role in the future.

What we can offer

• £30,000 to £34,000 salary depending on experience

• 40 hours per week for full time, including a paid 30 minute lunch break

• Part time considered

• 30 days holiday per year including bank holidays

• Shared Saturday rota, 1 in 4

• No OOH

• £750 annual CPD allowance
