Careers
Leith Vets is Edinburgh's friendliest small animal and exotics practice. We've been open more than two years now and we're looking for a 4th vet to join our team!
Leith is a young, vibrant area full of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Our clients are just the best. The Leith community is really special and we feel chuffed to have been embraced so warmly by the locals. The practice and area is LGBTQ+ friendly and we have a diverse mix of clientele.
We're looking for the right vet who will fit in with our team and who agrees with our community focussed ethos. There may be some occasional sole charge so we would need a vet with a minimum of 1-2 year’s experience who is confident with consulting, soft tissue surgery and ideally someone with an interest in dentistry or someone who is willing to learn about dentistry as we have a high dental caseload.
Leith Vets is also a bit unusual in that nearly 50% of our registered patients are feline. We're the only practice in Edinburgh to have gold ISFM practice status and we pride ourselves on our low stress cat handling techniques.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly vet to join our team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 VCA and 3 receptionists. We are blessed with an amazing group of staff who work together well and are dedicated to the success of the practice.
Our next veterinarian could work flexibly or full time (FT is 40 hours per week including 30 mins paid lunch) with a share of 1:4 Saturdays. We offer 34 days holiday including bank holidays and enhanced sick pay. There are currently no OOH, however, we may explore offering an OOH service in the future to provide the best care to our patients. With a 4th vet starting we will extend our opening hours to 6.30pm. £1500 CPD allowance per year.
If this sounds like the sort of practice you would like to work in please email your CV and a cover letter to management@leithvets.co.uk.
Closing date 31st December.
We look forward to hearing from you!
