Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse

Part Time Practice Manager

Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse

We are looking for the next member of our RVN team!

A member of our nursing team is sadly moving to Australia for an adventure at the end of the summer.

Leith Vets is an independent, family owned practice which opened in September 2023. The practice is growing steadily and going from strength to strength. We now have 3 full time vets, 3 full time RVNs, a VCA and 2 full time equivalent receptionists.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an RVN who understands that a vet practice is made of the up people within its team and the community of pets and pet owners who support it. Community involvement and client care is at the core of what we do and luckily we have some amazing clients and a fantastic team of staff.

Leith Vets is a bit unusual in the fact that nearly 50% of our patients are feline and we also look after exotic species. A large proportion of our caseload is dentistry and we perform dentistry to the highest standards so an interest in dentistry would be an advantage. Our RVNs perform the majority of our COHATs and dental radiographs. We are the only practice in Edinburgh to have gold ISFM practice accreditation so we’re focussed on providing a high level of care and low stress handling to our feline patients.

Our next RVN would be required to help with our puppy classes on Saturday afternoons which are run in our reception area and Leith Links. All profits from the classes go directly to the RVNs running the classes. The classes provide essential socialisation for our pups and are a wonderful opportunity for our clients to make connections within our local community.

What can we offer?

We pride ourselves on providing an excellent work life balance to our staff. The position would ideally be a full time position, 40 hours per week spread over 4 week days and 1 in 3 Saturdays with a 30 min paid lunch break. We offer 5 days paid sick leave following successful completion of our probationary period. £750 CPD allowance. Minimum salary £28, 000.

Please email your CV and a covering letter explaining why you believe you would be a good candidate for the role to forthpetcare@gmail.com.

Closing date 30th June 2025.
