Book a Free Senior Cat MOT

Join us for a free health check with one of our experienced nurses

We’re inviting all cats aged 10 and over—new and existing clients—to join us this May and June for a free health check, including a blood pressure check and urine test with one of our fantastic nurses.

The International Society of Feline Medicine recommends that cats aged 7–10 and over have their blood pressure checked annually to help detect hypertension (high blood pressure) early. In older cats, hypertension can be a sign of underlying conditions such as chronic kidney disease and hyperthyroidism. A simple urine test can also help identify early signs of chronic kidney disease.

The good news is that there are many ways we can support cats with these conditions—and early detection plays a vital role in helping them live long, healthy lives.

Getting started with us is easy—just fill in the form and we’ll be in touch to confirm your registration. Please note that we’ll need your previous patient histories emailed to us before we can see new patients.

We will also require a urine sample to be brought along at the time of your nurse consultation. We can provide free bags of litter crystals to help with collection, or you may wish to purchase a Katkor urine sampling kit online to make the process more convenient and avoid an extra visit.

Please see the video below for a step-by-step guide on how to collect a urine sample from a litter tray.

Once your cat is registered with us, you can book an appointment via our online booking page. Please select: Nurse clinics/Free Senior Cat MOT, BP & Urine Test.

If our nurses have any concerns following the consultation, for example high blood pressure or dilute urine, a follow-up appointment with a vet and possible blood tests may be recommended.

The consultation fee is £60. The vet will then discuss the next steps with you and provide a full cost estimate for any additional tests or treatment if required.

* Please note this appointment is for well, senior cats with a nurse. If you have specific concerns about your cat you will need to book a consultation with a vet and a consultation fee would apply.
